I am a HUGE lover of avocados!! They are sooo yummy and super good for you too! Here is my take on a taco salad dip…

Salsa Avocado Dip

  • 1 package lite cream cheese(I use Philadelphia)…*at room temp
  • 2 16oz. sour cream (light)
  • 2 avocados
  • 1 Roma tomato
  • 1 green onion
  • 1 small serrano pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups (or more) of your favorite Salsa
  • freshly ground pepper to taste

In a medium bowl mix with a hand held mixer the sour cream, pepper and room temp cream cheese until smooth. *Super important to have the cream cheese at room temp so you do not get lumps!* Spread the mixture in the bottom of a 13×9 pan. Dice up the Serrano pepper (seeds are optional, the dairy cuts the heat though :)) Sprinkle the Serrano over the cream mixture. Dice the avocado next and layer that on top of the peppers. Pour your salsa on next and then cover the salsa with the Cheddar cheese. Dice the tomato and onion and sprinkle them on top of the cheese. Pot in the refrigerator until ready to serve! Serve with Tostitos and ENJOY!! 🙂 Warning this is VERY addicting!! 🙂
