This is by far my new favorite filling for my Braided Calzone! 🙂

Veggie Ranch Braided Calzone

  • 1 ball of your favorite Pizza dough
  • 1/4cup chopped baby carrots
  • 1/4cup chopped broccoli
  • 3 cloves of fresh garlic, pressed
  • 1/4cup Mayo
  • 3Tbsp. Ranch seasoning (I used Hidden Valley)
  • 1tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1/4cup cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • salt and pepper
  • 3Tbsp. red onion, diced
  • 1/4cup diced Zucchini
  • 1/4cup diced yellow squash
  • 1cup Mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/4cup of fresh grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2cup chopped baby spinach

Preheat oven to 325F

Spray your pizza stone or sheet pan (I LOVE my Pampered Chef Pizza pan) with nonstick spray

spray your hands with the spray and then spread out your dough to cover your pan. (I have made my own dough, used fresh dough from my favorite pizza shop, used frozen dough and refrigerated Pillsbury pizza dough) so i mean it when I say your choice :) You need the dough to be in a rectangle though…

in a small mixing bowl, combine the mayo, garlic, ranch seasoning and red pepper flakes, until completely mixed.

spread the ranch sauce over the center 3-4inches of the dough

start layering the veggies on top of the ranch sauce

I always end with the tomatoes, for no other reason than it looks pretty haha 🙂

Sprinkle the top of the veggies with the cheeses.

Now here comes the tricky part, no its really easy , just don’t over think it :)

Take a pair of kitchen scissors or a sharp knife and cut horizontal lines all along each side of the cheese and pepperoni. Making each cut about an inch apart . Try and keep an even number of strips on each side :)

then starting from the bottom on the right side take strip number one and cross it over the cheese and pepperoni till it touches dough, do the same on the bottom left strip. Slowly repeat this until you reach the top.

Gently fold up the ends to slightly seal , to avoid major spilling while baking

spray the top with nonstick cooking spray

sprinkle the top of the dough with some extra Parmesan cheese and ranch seasoning.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the dough turns golden brown on top

slice and ENJOY!! 🙂
