I am so beyond excited to share this recipe with you all!!  I am on a mission to keep trying new foods with my family, so that my kids do not grow up to be picky eaters. That being said I started creating new recipes with flavors they have never had before. This recipe, I have to admit, was a little scary for me. I have never really cooked with these flavors, so it was very out of my comfort zone. But I am determined to try new stuff myself as well! When I started playing with the spices and flavors, I felt like something was missing. So I decided to try combining some of the flavors and see what I came up with. Well after all my experimenting, THIS AMAZINGLY YUMMY dish is what I came up with! I am happy to report that all of my kids LOVED it and I even got my Mom to taste it!! 🙂 Let me know if you try this and I would love to hear what you think of the combination! 🙂

Chicken Tandoori with Tzatziki and NaanIMAG3085


  • 4boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 3tsp. garam marsala
  • 1tsp. cumin
  • 1/2tsp cayenne pepper
  • 4 cranks of cracked sea salt
  • 6 cranks of cracked pepper
  • 1tsp. onion powder
  • one clove garlic grated or pressed
  • 1/2 inch grated fresh ginger
  • 1 cup sour cream*
  • 1/2 a lemon squeezed
  • Tbsp EVOO


  • 1/2 cup sour cream*
  • 1tsp fresh dill
  • 1 pressed garlic clove
  • 1/2tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/2 tsp zesty herb seasoning (I used McCormick s Zesty Herb)
  • Half a lemon squeezed


  • naan
  • 1/4cup Evoo
  • 3Tbsp. zesty herb seasoning (I used McCormick s Zesty Herb)


  • tomatoes
  • green onions

Cut the chicken breast into chunks.

Mix in a large bowl the sour cream (or greek yogurt), garam marsala, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt & pepper, onion powder, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, EVOO until well combined.

Add the chicken to the sour cream mixture and mix till all the chicken is well coated.

Let set in the mix for atleast 15 minutes.

Preheat grill pan or grill to medium-medium high.

In a small bowl combine the sour cream(or greek yogurt), garlic, dill,lemon juice, italian seasoning, red pepper flakes and EVOO, till well mixed. Set aside in the refrigerator.

In another small bowl combine the italian seasoning and EVOO and brush one side of the naan.

Grill the chicken on each side till cooked through.

Once chicken is cooked, turn grill down to medium and put the Naan seasoning side down on the grill. Let grill on each side just enough to char a little (about 2-3min on first side and 1min on other side)

To assemble spread a small amount of the Tzatziki on the Naan**, add chicken, tomatoes, crumbled feta and green onions.


*You could definitely substitute plain Greek yogurt for the sour cream. I had planned on it but i was out of my yogurt.
